A Jewelry Box Session
Bring the whole box. We'll find the pieces worth loving again.
Sit down with us and go through your jewelry together. Grandmother's charm bracelet becomes a necklace; mom's pearls find a modern setting; the ring you never wear becomes the one you never take off. You'll leave with a wish list, and a plan.
Sessions are booked by the hour, and the fee is applied to anything we make for you.

Larry Epperson founded Epperson's in 1976. Today his daughter Ellen leads the studio, with her father's eye for design and her mother Armen's devotion to every client who walks through the door. Nearly fifty years on, it's still a family that makes your jewelry by hand.
Ellen draws her designs from the natural world, antique jewelry, and architecture, pieces meant to be as wearable as they are beautiful.

A few things people ask.
How does the custom design process work?
It all starts with a conversation. We'll schedule a call to discuss your ideas, talk through any diamonds or gems you already have (or help you source the perfect stone), and walk you through the process, budget, and timeline together.
How should I prepare for a design consultation?
Take photos of any jewelry you're thinking of using in a new piece and email them to Ellen ahead of your chat for inspiration. It also helps to spend a little time looking at styles you love. Pinterest is a great place to gather your ideas, possibilities, and ultimate jewelry goals.
I'm not local. How do I send you my existing jewelry?
Easy. We'll send you an insured shipping label you can use to send your piece safely to the studio. We work with clients well beyond Cleveland.
Can you estimate the price before we get too far?
Yes. We'll give you an estimated price range at our initial consultation. Once the CAD design is complete, we can give you the exact price, due upon completion.
Can you use my gold to make a new piece?
It may be possible, though there's a premium for doing so. We usually suggest exchanging that gold for a credit toward your new piece, which you can also put toward our one-of-a-kind, curated, or estate pieces.
Do you require a deposit for custom pieces?
Yes. We ask for a deposit to begin, which is applied to the balance upon completion of your finished piece.
How long does a custom piece take?
Typically 4 to 8 weeks from start to finish, depending on the complexity of the piece. If you have a tight deadline for an important date or occasion, we'll always try our best to meet it.
